Bagpiper Douglas

Bagpiper for hire Douglas

About Douglas

Douglas grew up listening to his grandfather play the pipes, an early influence that shaped his lifelong passion for the instrument. With around 30 years of experience, he has performed with various pipe bands, including serving as a civilian piper with the 1st Royal Tank Regiment Pipes and Drums. It was with this band that he had the honour of playing at the Queen Mother’s 100th Birthday Celebrations.

Over the years, Douglas has played the pipes across a wide range of locations, from Denmark and Germany to Scotland and Seattle, as well as many places in between. He also had the privilege of performing on several memorable occasions with his father’s former regimental band, The Pipes and Drums of The London Scottish, at their headquarters on Horseferry Road in London.

In addition to live performances, he has modelled and played pipes for a well-known American clothing company, and is set to appear as a piper in an upcoming remake of a famous film featuring immortals and swords. Dedicated to his craft, Douglas takes his piping very seriously and is currently being tutored by a highly respected and well-known piper.

He considers it a genuine pleasure and honour to be part of people’s special moments, and offers an extensive wardrobe of vintage Highland wear to help make each occasion even more memorable.
